  • To understanding the meaning of “democracy” in an Asian and Southeast context
  • To better understand the concepts “Asian values”, “Asian liberalism”, and “Asian democracy”
  • To pose your questions and discuss your ideas on these topics with two of their most prominent theorists

Note: This lecture will be given as a part of the two-day ICIRD Visiting Schholars Workshop (September 5-6, 2013). This lecture is open to public (while the other sessions are limited to students from the four ICIRD member universities: Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University and Thammasat University).
